Reporting an Absence
Every day that a student is absent, his or her parent/guardian must call the school office by 9:30 AM and leave a message on the voice mail or speak to office personnel. A parent/guardian call is necessary each day, whether the student will be absent the entire day or a portion of the day. Absences from the all-girls after school co-curricular teams and conservatory classes must be reported in addition to absences from Periods 1-8.
The information that must be provided in this phone call is as follows:
- the student’s full name
- the date of the absence
- which part of the day the student will miss
- the reason for the absence
- the name of the person calling
- the relationship of the caller to the student
If the parent/guardian has not called by 9:30 AM, office personnel will call home or work to verify the absence. When the student returns to school, no note is required.

Coed TK-8 families...Join PAC!
At NDA, we believe in the importance of collaboration and the collective efforts of parents, teachers, and staff in creating an enriching environment for our students. It is through your involvement and dedication that we can truly fulfill our mission of providing a well-rounded education and robust school traditions and family events.
Our parent organization, PAC (Parent Action Committee), aims to foster leadership and service among our parent community. This structure enables parents to play an active role in our school events. Each role is a 2 year commitment. Nominations are accepted in May of slating years. We invite you to embrace this opportunity and contribute your unique skills, talents, and perspectives.
In our model, the organization is divided into several key leadership positions, each responsible for specific areas of focus. We have categorized our school events and needs into three general umbrellas; community, philanthropy/fundraising, and school memories.
The executive team will consist of a VP of Community, a VP of Fundraising, and a VP of Room Parents, a secretary, and a treasurer. The VP of Community will oversee school wide events like Family Mass and Picnic and International Food Faire as well as outward facing community events through our admissions ambassadors. The VP of Community could chair one of the events if he/she chose to, but there should be a chair/co-chair for our big events in addition to the VP of Community. The VP of Fundraising will work with our advancement department staff's efforts. The VP of Room Parents would be coordinating with the room parents for all of the “school memories” activities like holiday celebrations and classroom specific needs.
NDA Parent Guild All-Girls 6-8!
The Notre Dame Academy Parent Guild (NDAPG) is dedicated to fostering a vibrant, welcoming, and supportive community that bridges the connection between parents and the school. Guided by a mission to enrich the student experience, foster Regal pride, grow our community, and create lasting connections among students and parents , the NDAPG plays an integral role in creating a thriving environment for the entire NDA family.
How the NDAPG Supports NDA:
- Enhancing Student Life & Traditions: The NDAPG hosts and supports beloved student traditions—such as "Fuel for Finals," the Heritage Food Tasting, and special treat pop-ups—that bring joy and boost spirit throughout the academic year.
- Fostering Family & Parent Connections: The Guild brings the NDA community together by organizing key social and spiritual events, including the Family Mass & BBQ, Mother-Daughter and Father-Daughter gatherings, and welcome events for new families.
- Supporting Teachers & Staff: Parents show gratitude to NDA educators and staff through special recognition efforts, including Teacher Appreciation Week and the "Regal and Bright" Holiday Gift initiative.
- Providing Event & Volunteer Support: NDAPG parent volunteers lend their time, talent, and leadership to assist with campus-wide events like Back to School Night, Open House, and the Baccalaureate Mass & Reception.
All NDA parents are members of the Parent Guild and are invited to participate in ways that align with their interests and schedules.
