From Gardens to Innovation Labs: Learning Everywhere

The coed Innovation Lab gives middle school students hands-on opportunities to explore robotics, 3D printing, marble runs, and structural engineering.

Physical Education at NDA takes place on the playground through a rotating schedule focused on developmentally appropriate movement, sports skills, and fun!

NDA’s Coed outdoor classroom and gardens provide a vibrant space where students connect with nature, engage in hands-on learning, and discover the world around them.

Creative Classrooms

The TK-5 students begin their time at NDA in the main building in one dedicated classroom while also rotating to various special classes.

The art and music room is located in the Villa where students experience these enriched subjects.

NDA’s coed classrooms support differentiated learning through collaborative group work and rotating learning modules that engage and challenge every student.

Learning to Lead Through Innovation

NDA’s Digital Lab is home to AP Computer Science courses and NDA’s signature Disruptive Innovation program, where students explore emerging technologies through the Duddy Innovation Center for Excellence (DICE), supported by ARK Invest and alumna Cathie Duddy Wood.

NDA’s Broadcast Studio, located within the Digital Lab, features a dedicated soundproof space where students create, record, and produce video, audio, and podcast projects.

Robotics at NDA is available to All-Girls Middle School and High School students in dedicated spaces designed for innovation and exploration. For over 15 years, NDA’s robotics program has empowered young women to pursue STEM and explore traditionally male-dominated fields in a supportive, collaborative environment.

Purposefully Designed for Growth

The main entrance to the all-girls building welcomes students and families with College Counseling located to the left and the Main Office to the right.

NDA’s All-Girls High School Student Learning Commons (SLC) is a dedicated space where students engage in student-directed learning during NDA’s eight-period rotation.

The College Counseling Office provides a welcoming space for students to meet with visiting college representatives and receive personalized guidance from their college counselor throughout all four years of high school.

Where Curiosity Becomes Discovery

Hands-on labs in Chemistry, Biology, Physics, and Engineering Your World provide NDA high school students with opportunities to explore, experiment, and apply their learning throughout their academic journey.

Chemistry, Biology, Physics, and Engineering Your World take place in NDA’s high school science labs, where students explore, experiment, and learn through hands-on experiences with engaging tools and technology.

AP Environmental Science and Chemistry at NDA are more than memorizing concepts, they are hands-on experiences. Students learn in lab classrooms designed for discussion, collaboration, experimentation, and engaging lectures.

Where Creativity Takes Center Stage

NDA’s dance studio, located near the NDA Gym and across from the NDA Weight Room, is a dedicated space where rhythm, movement, and creativity come to life.

Visual and Performing Arts at NDA include studio art, AP Art History, dance, drama, and Liturgical Choir for students who are musically inclined. The art spaces also serve as a creative hub for the Yearbook class, where students capture and design lasting memories through photography and mixed media.

NDA’s Black Box Theatre and classroom stage provide a creative space for Crown Foundations and Communications, helping incoming freshmen build confidence, strengthen skills, and adapt to the rigor of the high school curriculum and schedule.

Spaces Where Girls Learn and Thrive

NDA’s All-Girls Middle School learning spaces are located on the fourth floor above the NDA Gym. The Integrated Humanities Room provides an engaging environment designed to support collaboration, creativity, and learning for middle school girls.

NDA’s All-Girls High School AP program offers AP Research, AP Seminar, and many other advanced courses that challenge students, foster innovation, and prepare them for success in university. These courses thrive in learning spaces designed for discussion, collaboration, and inquiry.

The All-Girls Middle School Innovation Lab, equipped with 3D printers and a robotics field, is a dynamic space where math, technology, and innovation come to life.
